In the modern society, millions of people use cell phones on their lives. Cell phones have many functions, such as playing games, finding directions, as well as going on internet. Cell phones provide convenience for people, but this kind of technology has a positive and negative effect in our lives.
Cell phones are a life saver if people use them properly. People use cell phone to communicate with family or friends to help them solve the potential problem. For example, when people go on highway and go to work and the traffic slowed down, they can their boss to let him know that they will be late. However, if people’s car break down, they may call their insurance company to assist. If people do not have a cell phone, they will be stuck on the road, and they will have to wait for somebody to help. The problem might take a long time to be resolved. So it is useful when people use cell phone for emergencies on the road the road.
Cell phone’s functions bring amusement Cell phones are convenient tool for people. . People go anywhere, they can play game, listen to music when they have time. For example, when people waiting the bus or airplane, they can use cell phone to go on the internet, for instant, they can see the news, listen to music, and play games. However cell phones have a negative effect as well. People talking on the phone while driving can result in dangerous accident which would cause possible deaths. Because people carry conversation while driving, they do not pay a full of attention on the road. This increases likelihood of accidents. Safely driving is very import but cell phones often create distraction for drivers. Furthmore, many the young generations, they like to listen to the music for a long a time in every day thought a cell phone. It would cause the hearing problem or other diseases.

Nowadays, more and more new technologies have been invented by human beings and have made many of us more connected. For examples, we use laptops to surf the Internet, use phone to chat with each others, use PDA devices (such as iPad) to deal with our own business. However, I think that cell phone plays a more and more significant role in our ordinary life and has a very big influence on most of us. As we all know, almost all of us use cell phones today. In my own eyes, if cell phone disappears in the world at once, many people will only make one choice–self-destruction.
As the time goes by, not only can we use the cell phone to call someone, and we can also use many other functions on the cell phone. Sending or receiving messages and mobile phone calling are no longer the only two functions on the cell phone. We can also use them to surf the Internet, watch movies, play games, listen to music and deal with our own business. As a matter of fact, cell phone is not just a simple communication tool. It is a combination of laptop, PDA, game console and cellphone. And the cell phones have been given a very smart new name–smart phone.
As we all know, each coin has two sides. Not only does cell phone have a positive effect on our life, but it also has a negative effect on our life. The truth that cell phone is very useful and convinence for us cannot be denied. But the radiation of cell phone is no good for our health. It has been searched that it has bigger chance for those people who often suffer from cell phone rediation to get cerebral cancer. And I also heard many news about cell phone explosion. It seems that cell phone explosion is not a unusual occurance. The battery of the cell phone will reach a very high degree and has possibility to explode when the battery of cell phone is charged over than it required to be or used exessively.
