My new neighbors are two young guys about the age of 25 to 30. They always make a lot of noise at night. For example, I was doing homework one night, I heard a group of people talking and laughing loudly. I looked out of the window. I saw my neighbor drinking beer with several boys and girls. They seemed to be celebrating some happy things. They didn’t stop until two o’clock in the morning.
Another example, I was woken up by a guitar and a sad singing sound at three o’clock in one early morning. I recognized it was one of my neighbors. This time he seemed to be very sad. Hearing the sad song, I could not sleep again until five o’clock.
One more example, I was tired one night and fell asleep at ten o’clock. But unfortunately, I was woken up again by the familiar noise. It was my neighbors, together with some young guys having a barbecue party. I looked at the clock in my bedroom. It was exactly twelve o’clock midnight. It is so bad to live with my neighbors. I hope they will move soon. – Junwu
Our society has changed a lot in the past ten years. Ten years may be a brief moment in time, but it is long enough to experience a revolution. Some of these changes have had an effect on our life, for better or worse. There are some ways how technology has changed over me.
Firstly, Like banking. We do not waste time in line to deposit money, check and do payments. We can deposit them on ATM machine. And we also can make any payments in computer at home. Even we can transfer money to other account in smart phone. Those techonologies make us to live easiler and save a lot of time.
Secondly, We can order any airtickets by myself. We can compare any company whatever we want. To chose the best deal without any salesperson. Most of airflight-companies have their own website, and very clear useful direction. I think that is the most resons why travel agents lost their jobs.
Lastly, For a student, the technology bring me the most convenice is that I can download my books in a iPad. I do not need carry those textbooks whole day in school.
Technology meke us live easier. But computer or any software need less people to do some job. Some technology take place of human resource vtilization. So, many people will lose their jobs.
The Change of Technologies
Technologies have been quickly changed in recent 10 years. I’m 19 right now, and I already saw a lot of changes on technologies. And those changes on technology have affected our life a lot. It may hard to understand it. Let me give out couple examples of technology’s changes.
First of all, I’d like to talk about PCs. In my hometown, not everyone have their own PC 10 years ago. I got one in my house, everyone knows that was so jealous about that. But right now, have you ever saw people got jealous because someone got a huge PC inside their house? At least I have never seen that. Technology’s change make people think differently.
Another example is touch screen smart phone. Ten years ago, the only place I ever saw the idea of touch screen technology is in science fictions. But right now, touch screen technology pretty much surrounded our life. We use touch screen smart phone, touch screen MP3 player, touch screen E-reader…… There’s too much of them. I have never think about this technology is so wide used before.
One last good example is hybrid car. When I was fifth grade in elementary school, I read an article about hybrid car technology on a science magazine. In that article, this technology still sounds fairly far from our everyday life. Right now, we can see hybrid car everywhere we go.
After all these examples, I think I express my opinion really well: technologies has been changed a lot. It brings a lot convenient in our life. Some of those changes are changes we never think about it before. I believe scientists will bring a lot more changes in the future.
I went the horror night at Universal Studios last week. I always like going to Halloween events because Chinese people don’t really celebrate Halloween in China. The theme for this year at Universals was The Walking Dead. I thought it would be perfect because I love watching zombie movies. I was very excited because it was also the first Halloween that I was going to spend with my girlfriend. When we arrived at Universals, my girlfriend got too scared to go in. She sat outside for half an hour and did not want to go in. But later she decided to go in and got very scared inside. There were many monsters and zombies chasing people around. Of course I wasn’t scared. But my girlfriend was holding on me the whole night because she was very scared. Then we took a tramp inside and the driver kicked us off the tramp and we had to walk back with zombies scaring us on the way. They were so ugly and so many girls started screaming because they were very scared. The more the girls screamed, the more zombies came after them. It was fun to watch them get scared. One zombie was laying on the ground and some guy asked the zombie “Hey are you real?” and the zombie started attacking him. I laughed so hard. We went to a couple of haunted mazes and I actually got scared. The Walking Dead maze was very real. It was like the movie. The zombies had so much blood and everyone screamed when they saw them. I had so much fun in the mazes. Unfortunately, I did not get to buy my favorite food in Universals that night, which was the roasted turkey leg. Every time I go to a theme park, I would buy a roasted turkey leg because they taste so good! I was so sad!
My younger is very naught. He is 6 years old. He likes to play around with us. One example took place 2 years ago, my younger cousin was invited to have lunch with a couple of our relatives. When he just came in at the door of my bedroom, my little sister started crying. I was wondering what happened to her. Then I saw the naughty boy put a mask on his face. It was a blooding head with green eyes. I got my job to comfort my sister and explained to her what the truth was. My cousin did not pay attention to the crying girl, he just thought he was so powerful and went somewhere to scary people.
Another instant of my cousin happened last year. His mother was going shopping with her co-worker. He was sent to my home again, he just grasped the TV remover and told me to leave him alone, I went online to search for some stuff after I offered him snacks. A few hours went by. I got out of my bedroom to see if he was doing well. I just saw a broken alarm on the floor and a knit. He was sitting on the sofar having a drink I wanted to cry because it was almost a new one. He jumped off the sofar to be in front of me when he noticed that I was there. He stated that he did not do that intentionally, he tried to separate the alarm and put it back,but he failed. He also told me that his goal was to be an engineer. I replied him. ” Well, last time you said that you wanted to be a teacher.Then you don’t have to worry about homework anymore, he just smiled to pretend that he forgot.
A recent illustration of my younger cousin’s naughtiness showed up when we were in the park. He was so exciting about those entertainment facilities. He has played each one since we walked in the park. Suddenly, he stopped walking, and he asked her mother politely if he could play roller coaster. His mother refused to let him do at that point. She told him that he was not enough old to play it. After he heard of this, he was upset. He tried to escape from our eyesight and announced. ” I don’t want to go with you guys anymore”. His mother wanted me to catch him and tell him that she would let him play next time, a happy face showed on his face.
Staying with a kid as naughty as my cousin is really hard in life. However, when I think of those examples,i really want to laugh. Fortunately, he is more understand than he used to be.
