Day by day cell phones are becoming the essential parts of our life. The most basic benefit of a cell phone which most of us use is that we can stay connected with our loved ones in any part of the world and anytime. I can use my cell phone to talk, keep in touch with my friends in my country. Cell phones are also useful in time of emergencies. People can get help with the use of cell phone easily. Having a cell phone means that you are accessible in case of an emergency even if you are out on the road. People can call each other no matter where they are. For example, if someone doesn’t have the cell phone, there is no way to contact him while he is on the road or whenever somebody needs him.

In addition, the technology which is provided with cell phones has made life easier. Cell phones act like a computer. At the present time cell phones are equivalent to tiny computers.  People can also use cameras, calendars, set up alarm clocks, take notes and other devices. With the modern cell phones, users can connect to the Internet and searching for whatever they want. Sometimes I do not have to carry my laptop with me. Instead, I can use my cell phone. I can chat with friends, send email, download files, play games. Though cell phones were only useful for talks when they first came out, nowadays they are of multiple use and have practically driven out many interesting gadget.

The next one is that many parents provide their children with cell phones for safety reasons. The speed dial up option in cell phones lets people contact emergency numbers by pressing only one button. For example, my 12-year-old cousin has had a cell phone. If she runs into any problems, she can easily call her parents or her sister. Likewise, her parents can call her if they need to talk to her. For many parents, a cell phone is a convenient way to contact their children.

In conclusion, for many people, cell phones have become an important part of daily life. The ability to communicate with a cell phone, along with its other features, has made life easier. However, cell phones can harm their user’s health as well. Long-term use of cell phones can damage hearing and cause certain types of cancer. People should only use their cell phones in cases of emergency.
