Homesick For SiChuan

Filed under: ESL Students' Writings — He Yao @ 22:13

The three things that I miss are the Sichuan food, my friends, and my family. I have lived in my hometown since I was born, which means I am in the place which is over 16,000 kilometers away from where I have lived for 18 years.

First of all ,the food.As we all know,Sichuan is famous of its spicy food.I love it like every Sichuan people does. When I have dinner in Sichuan restaurants here,I can’t help recalling my mother’s cooking because my family and I really enjoyed the food that my mother cooked .So I think the spicy food has become a part of my life. Furthermore,It also makes me feel warm in winter. By the way,I have learned to cook spicy food on my own.Thank my mon for teaching me that on telephone.

Secondly, I miss my friends. now we still keep in touch with each other.Even though I am so far away from them,I believe our hearts stick together. When I was in Sichuan,we could share everything. We used to hung out a lot, we might go out to have a simple meal at the place where was near our home. I would definitely help do a favor when my friend was in trouble, and so would they . I really had a good time with them, and it is a very precious memory for me. i wish we could keep friendship forever.

Last but not least,I miss my family so much. especially when Chinese festivals come ,such as Mooncake festival, spring festival and so on. We used to spend these happily together. What I can do now is just to call them to send my best wish.My father is so kind, not like my mother. She used to blame me what I shouldn’t have done or tried to criticize me as much as possible. So I decided to escape from her. But now I realize what she did is good for me.I was so wilful and naive at that time .So I want to go home to see my parents as soon as possible.

I have lived here for over one year, what I really want to say now is ”I miss you,my friends.I love you dad.I love you, mon”
