That’s true, English is more difficult than other languages. But if you would like to improve your English quickly, I’d like to share one of learning experiences with you – watch TV. The more you watch, the more you can understand.

umm… The way I learn English is the same way that others do. I like to watch movies. I’ve bought a lot of DVD movies. But when I watch movies, I always have my pen and my book ready. If I see the sentence that I don’t understand, I will write down that sentence in my book. And after I finish watching, I will find a way to understand that sentence.
Oh, and games are also helpful. Especially, story games like Final Fantasy. This kind of game forces you to learn English because you must understand the story before you play. You have to read every article in the game otherwise you will not know what you have to do next.

I figured out that English is very important when I began to live in the U.S. It is because I need to speak in English to communicate and write. My ESL teacher told me that good English skill is an important factor for my career in the future. Although it costs me a lot of efforts, time, and money, I really enjoy learning English. Thus, I would like to share my ways of learning English.
First of all, I think people will face a lot of difficulties when they learn a foreign language. One of the obstacles is cultural gap. As a Chinese student, I always make grammatical mistakes that are called “Chinese-English�. For example, “Although the weather is bad, but I go to play football�. From this sentence, we know that the word “but� is not necessary. However, it is correct in Chinese grammar. For this reason, we know why a cultural gap would make the language difficult to learn. Consequently, I suggest reading more English articles and books, as much as possible, because we can learn grammatical rules from them. From my experience, the more you read, the more grammar rules you will learn. http://www.latimes.com/ is a good web site, where you can read more articles, which are all free of charge! In addition, PCC’s Library has a lot of magazines such as “Times�.
If you feel bored about reading articles, there is another way to expose to English, that is listening to music. Opera is a good choice; most rhymes are beautiful and contain many words. It helps to learn English from songs. Knowing more Vocabularies can help one become more articulated when one writes. When you try to follow the libretto to sing, you can easily remember the lyrics, so you can learn more vocabularies from the lyrics. “Les Miserable� is a good example that the story is very impressive and easy to remember. I love it and I learned a lot of vocabularies from it! I strongly recommend it to you.
Thirdly, watching movies has been a popular way to learn English recently, because of the popularities of DVDs and VCDs. When you watch more English language movie, you can improve your listening skills, and know more. It is useful in daily life. However, you may not be able to follow all the dialogues in the English language movie. Do not worry about it! You can read the subtitle and try to guess. I can share my experience with you. I remember that I always asked my mom a lot of questions about the movies when I was young. It is because I could not follow the sentence of Chinese subtitle. I find that I can read the subtitle faster when I watch more movies. At the same way the more you watch English language, the faster you’ll develop your listening skills.
In fact, Learning English has no short cut and the most important things are your perseverance. I think the above ways are the assistant that makes English easy and funny to learn. I want to share my ideas of how to learn English faster and easier. You may think English is very difficult to learn but it is not. Follow these steps and you will learn English faster, the first step is to watch a lot of movies and news, try to understand the words they say, because even though you don’t understand what they say, you will understand it by looking at the pictures. Second step is to try to talk in English more often. Even though you can not talk well enough, people will understand you, don’t be afraid or shamed of talking in English because the more you talk, the more you’ll learn. The third step is pronunciation if you want to improve pronunciation you have to listen to music and sing together exactly as how the singer sings.

I will show my opinion here, but I don’t know if it is helpful. Just for reference.
Reading is a crucial and indiscerptible part of learning. Reading great essays is to learn good expressions of ideas that we normally feel difficult. Reading enriches our knowledge and improve our vocabulary and grammar. Only through reading and writing can we really gain more experience, and eventually the confidence to write with ease. Reading a newspaper is the very best thing you can do to improve your English. It is unlikely that any textbook can match a newspaper for sheer range. Read a little from a newspaper every day. It will put you in touch with a whole range of subjects in good modern English.
How do you think about watching more original English movies? To the beginners, it is better to watch those with Chinese subtitles on the screen, then you will learn a lot from them. And I think maybe it is helpful to improve your writhing skill. Later, you can watch this kind of movies without seeing the screen, just guess what the actors or the actresses have spoken. If you can’t understand well, you can listen to them again and again until you can get it. I think it is useful to improve both your writhing skill and your oral English.
Many foreign students came to Untied States that learning English is very important for them. Some of them may think the pronunciation is not important. But I can’t agree with them that we should improve our English pronunciation. Watching English movies, English TV programs, listening to English songs and learn English on some special occasions are also excellent and vivid English learning ways to improve pronunciation.
Anyway, English is a kind of language, imitation is the basis as well as reading itself is not only an enjoyment but also a way to learn various words, expressions, wording, and the sentence structures and so on. Plans are always very essential, so we must make some elaborate and workable plans before study. And we should certainly carry out these plans to the letter.

Every one knows that English is so important today, but how to do and learn it well? Let me share some experience for you. According to a report of newspaper form American’s universities said that in the future, most of schools will ask every student to be capable of reading and writing well. And Students have to take examinations in writing or reading .Of course, schools will also ask students to show their testes before entering schools .Therefore, it is more important today than it was in the past.
Based on my perception, I really agree this topic because when you are raising your ability t read and write, you can search more and more information what you want. Besides, you can write yourself more than others. No doubt to say, you will understand most of meaning after you read it. So, you have to read more articles as soon as you can. For instance, reading some fairy stories or novels that you can figure out every sentence and grammar .Furthermore, you can watch some movies so that listening her or his accent and learning some simple words. Keep going and stay by stay that your English is better day after day. If you are able to make time to push your English, you can write down every sentence when you are watching movies or listening the tapes. Then, repeating again that you will realize how is so amazing way. The most important thing is when you are reading the article, you should speak and pronounce it. Not only that, you can use recording machine to record it .Actually, it is so funny because I find out my pronunciation is so strange and not smooth. It really help you to know how good you are and where you should make it up.
However, most of people are so worried about vocabulary, especially, to remember a plenty of words. For me, I am not so worried about reminding words because I will separate every time to remember all of words and figure out how to pronounce it. It is really good for me to do it. If I cannot remember words, I am not upset. The reason why I am not so disappointed? I know I can read some article and some words is repeated. Then I am able to remember words more and more time. Thus, don’t be feeling bad if you cannot memory all of words. It is a bit difficult that remembering words in the first time or a shorter time.
Finally, don’t be shy and try to talk some foreign people if you have a chance. Even though, you are capable to read, write, and listen very good, but your pronunciation is so bad. It is also no use.
The reason is you cannot chat with people and communicate your friends in your daily life. If you want to find the job, you should have an interview. Therefore, you are able to talk with your boss how good you are or your good idea. And then speak well and frequently otherwise; you can fire out or not be hired. As a result, it is defiantly important thing to chat with your friends or people if you have a chance. Moreover, if you cannot understand what is meaning, you can ask others immediately. Then you will learn more and enjoy the good time. Thus, trying to copy and learn some people pronounce if you think she or he is good. Don’t give up day after day, I think that pronunciation is improved and frequently as same as American.
Above list of my experience, if you are same problem with me, you can try to use my way to chance yourself. Maybe, it is good for you.

How about me to learn English experience ? i had have many learn English experiences,some learn English experiences was intesting and funny ,but some experiences make me to cry.when my friends with me chated someting,The learn English experience was hot topic of discussion ,becasue learn English made many problems for new immigrants.The immigrants can’t never forget experiences.i talk about my experiences .
Frist,when i came to the US ,i had went to high school .i took ESL classes, the ESL classes help new immigrant students to improve English .the school gave others three classes.when i went my math class,i had saw the classmates all speak English .I try to look for the classmates which the face is suitable ought to be able to speak Chinese.i wished that classmate to help me to do someting.i sat next to the look like the Chinese girl .The math teacher took lots of math koweledges ,but i can’ understand the teacher say.i have made the very long psychological perparation ,after i prepered to ask the girl to help me.The girl told me ,she is the Chinese which is born in US,she can’t speak Chinese. I felt awkawrdly.the girl looked me a few mintues ,she said ” I can help you ,i know you are new immigrant ,the English make you to scare anyting from you new country ,but you can speak english with me everyday.i think that to help you to learn English.” After days, the girl with me speak english for everyday .i am so happy to know that girl.she helped me to solve many English problems.I hope our friendship to keep forever .
My other learn English experience was at summer .because I lived in the Chinese people area, every day contacts the friend which all speaks Chinese.i thought I study English not enough, I had a new opportunity, and can help better to study English,I chocie to go Minnesoda.one Arerican with me live together for one month.I hoped I can study more American the thing, more importantly can help oneself to learn English.I certainly was not speak very much with that American.I frequently in own room, but that American said, if you studied English, should want to be many and I speaks English, did not have to be afraid.he lets me look daily English the television, with looks at the English copy clerk Every day .evening I can sit with him chated very many interesting tings, some times I say English pronunciation is nonstandard, he can help me to correct.I participated in CAMP, I knew the very many American students.i tried to speak with them.after my summer,i felt my english to process.
That my learn English experience ,When I studied English , I found very many interesting tings.although study English is very difficult, I start to study English to regard as one kind of interest.

Well,english is really a subject that more difficults than other languages.But,everyone can obtrude themselves to improve their ability in english.In fact, i think we should exercise more by doing research or something relate,which may help us,for instance:practice writing,grammatical control,vocabulary improvement and so on.Therefore,we can easily traverse that difficulties since exercise definitely guide us to the right use of english.

For me Isolating myself from my country people helped me a lot. I am Ethiopian. I have been in U.S. fro 2 years, & I am am a College student. The screate thing that improve my langauge is that being with Ameican a lot and avode being with Ethiopia. This is the best way to improve communication skills.
I love my people but I just don’t want be with them!

Your accent will improve with practice and repetition. When you hear native Enligsh speakers talk copy how they speak. Grammar is something that will also come with practice. When you read pay attention to how it is written. Maybe investing in a tutor would be benefical to clean up your grammar. Looking at your post your grammar and voice are great. The vocabulary you are using is excellent because it gives us a clear picture of how frusterated you are. Keep studying and good luck!

Hello, I have been studying English for 5 years, I needed it for my job and tried all ways to learn. Firstly I was watching t.v in English, this great help, because it was not too boring, then I found some good material on the BBC website http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/ , this has many useful exercises to learn from and is updated regular. Another site i find useful it http://www.phoneboxlanguage.com/es is has free English lessons and free materials.
