My High School Friend Danny

Filed under: ESL Students' Writings — Thai Tran @ 10:00

Do you have a friend who you could count on? Someone who will be there to share your sadness, happiness, or even when you’re bored? My high school friend Danny is one of such people. We’ve known each other since we were in middle school. We hung out together and shared many blissful moments together. I sometimes feel like he is my long lost brother.

Since 9th grade, we’ve always been together. We ate lunch together at school, played video games, and went out to see movies together. Even though we didn’t have classes together, we did talk about them at lunch. We would talk about how our classes were fun, exciting, or boring. We would go on and on until the bell rang. So, the most fun times I’ve had are hanging out with Danny at lunch time in high school. And when people ask “Were there times when you guys fight?” I would answer “No”, because the times we spent together the most are at school, discussing how our classes went. So, the reason we didn’t fight is because the time we spent the most were in school. Though we did chat when we are playing games. Even then, we never fought. Maybe it’s because we were always on the same team. Thus, out of all my friends in high school, Danny is the one that I would consider the best friend. Maybe that’s why people always mistook us for brothers.

In conclusion, no one is ever alone. There will always be someone who you would consider a friend that you can trust. Someone who will walk with you through the sad time and happy time. When you find that person, he/she will be a friend of a life time.
