Songyuan is one of the few Chinese cities that have retained its culture. Unlike the larger cities of Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou (Canton), that have lost their culture due to foreign commercialism, Songyuan still has beautiful places of interest untouched by western culture. Songyuan also has assimilated several features of the unique Mongolian culture and thus provides a unique opportunity to sample the cultures and lifestyles of both Mongolia and China.

Your apartment is also within walking distance from the school and this takes care of any transportation problem.
