Tonya Harding is the notorious American figure skater made headlines in 1994 by attacking her skating Nancy Kerrigan. During a practice session for the United States Figure Skating Championships, Harding and her -husband hired her husband's friend to physically assault Kerrigan. attack was intended to improve Harding's chances to the Olympic team, which she did.
