48. The Big Question 2 (B)

Mike: Maria, I want you to know that you will not regret this decision.

Maria: Don't worry, Mike. I know for a fact that I won't.

(Mike pulls out the wedding ring from his jacket and slips it onto Maria's ring finger. Maria is astonished by its beauty.)

Maria: Oh, Mike. It's... it's perfect! It's everything a girl could ask for in a diamond ring. I love it! I love you!

(Maria hugs Mike from the passenger seat and is overflowing with emotions.)

Maria: You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me, Mike!

Mike: And you are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me, Maria!

Maria: Oh, Mike. We're getting married!

Mike: I had wanted to ask you the big question somewhere special. I'm so sorry.

Maria: Mike, you have nothing to be sorry about.

Mike: I just wanted the moment to be perfect for you.

Maria: Don't you see, Mike? This is the perfect moment. Being here with you is what makes it so perfect. We could've been anywhere, and it would have been perfect.

Mike: That was the sweetest thing you could ever say, Maria. Thank you. I see what you mean.

Maria: Mike, I want you to know that I will always be by your side.

Mike: And Maria, I shall cherish you for all eternity. You make me the happiest man on earth.

Maria: Let's celebrate! Where should we go?

Mike: Want to go back home and celebrate?

Maria: That sounds like the perfect idea.

Mike: Tomorrow in the morning, we'll start making reservations for the actual wedding. What do you think?

Maria: Mike... I think we should rush to have the wedding. I want to enjoy being your fiancee for a while.

Mike: If that's what my love wants, that's what she'll get.

Maria: Thank you, Mike. Now let's go home and celebrate.
