55. Maria's New Hobby (B)

Gus: Can I help you, ma'am?

Maria: Yes, that would be great.

Gus: How are you doing today, by the way?

Maria: I'm doing fine, thank you.

Gus: I'm glad to hear it. You can call me Gus. It's nice to meet you.

Maria: Nice to make your acquaintance, Gus. I'm Maria.

Gus: Is there something I can show you? I'd be happy to help, Maria.

Maria: Yes, I was looking to buy a piano.

Gus: What kind of piano were you thinking of getting?

Maria: There are different kinds? I actually just decided to take up the piano today.

Gus: That's great! The piano is beautiful instrument to learn how to play. Let me take you to the piano section.

Maria: That would be great. Thank you.

(Maria follows Gus to the pianos and keyboards.)

Gus: As a beginner, I would recommend buying a keyboard to get you started. They're smaller and lighter, much less expensive, and don't require as much care as regular pianos do.

Maria: That sounds like a good idea. Can you show me the keyboards that you carry?

Gus: Of course. We have all the well-known brands with different pricings.

Maria: I think I'll take this one. It's not too expansive, and it looks nice.

Gus: That's actually our most popular keyboard because it's so affordable. It's perfect for a beginner. I highly recommend it.

Maria: I'm sold. Do you also carry any piano books to help me learn how to play it?

Gus: But of course. I'll throw in a good one for free with your purchase.

Maria: Thank you so much. You have been so helpful, Gus.

Gus: You're welcome. Let's go ring you up at that front register.

(Maria follows Gus to the register, hands him her credit card, and purchases her new keyboard.)

Gus: Thanks, again. Enjoy your new hobby, Maria.
